Chinook Wind can capture your live event on widescreen, digital video with the look and feel of live broadcast television. Our skilled video crew has many hours of experience shooting live orchestras, choirs, drama performances and dance recitals.
We can also upload your video to YouTube, set up a video on-demand or pay-per-view channel, or even broadcast your video live on the internet.
In live-switched video, three or more cameras are used at widely separated angles and switched live into the recording stream by a director who can see the picture from each camera and talk directly by intercom with each camera operator. It is difficult and demanding work, but it remains absolutely the best way to capture the excitement and sponteniety of a live performance.
Our cameras are Canon XH-A1s, a very new, high-resolution camera designed specifically for filmmaking and broadcast. They have very good color rendition and exceptionaly sharp focus. We have mounted them on fluid-head cinematic tripods for smooth, jiggle-free movement. (For a complete list of our video equipment, click here)
Our video DVDs are polished productions, carefully edited and titled and professionally labeled and packaged. They include menus which allow viewers to watch the entire program or any selected portion of it as they choose.
We record in widescreen standard DV, but we can also record in HD, Beta, DVC-PRO, XDCAM, etc. if you have special needs.
